Dear Friends,

We are spread out all over the world, and we would like to gather as much as possible about Volodya, Irina, and Ilya, so that we can remember them. Let's make them a book.

We would like to gather photographs with captions and short stories, so that we can remember specific moments together with them - at least a little bit about everything, especially the trip that so abruptly ended their lives. If anyone has letters or emails written by them, with pieces that can be understood by most people, please send them with the date that they were written. We hope that everyone will take some time to sit down and write a few paragraphs about Vova, Irina, or Ilya - just write anything that comes to mind, we will edit it if needed. The main thing is that you are sincere and honest, as if we were telling these stories to one another. We will bring all your stories together and publish a book, then send it to all of you and post it online.

It would be appropriate to collect all your stories by the funeral, January 14, so that we can distribute them to the families. There is very little time. Let's write something right now.

If you can read Russian (any encoding, including translit), please, proceed to the Russian language version of this announcement for more information. Otherwise, please, send any photographs and captions/commentary to masha@poseur.com. If you have access to an ftp or web-server, please, consider placing the pictures there and just sending the URLs to Masha. Send any stories, bits of letters, or memories to maria_shkolnik@yahoo.com, masha.chkolnik@russellresearch.com.

Please add your name and how you were related to our friends. (backpacking trips, school, university, etc). Also, please think about any people you know who knew Vova, Irina, or Ilya. Please forward this to them right now, so that they can also add their memories.

Let's do this while it is still hot in our minds.
